Hi, I’m Anita

I help people thrive in health and well-being by connecting and, being kind to their body and soul.

Does that sound like a great way of being? I think so..

Being KIND to your body means to move it, fuel it with whole foods and love every magical inch of it.

I believe that our bodies are incredible, magical machines that have the ability to heal themselves.  We either feel amazing or… not so amazing.  When we listen to all the subtle messages we get from our aches & pains, from our gut, from our mental state, from our emotions, and we address them, then feeling amazing becomes our daily way of being.

Truth be told; bloating, gas, achy knees, sore back, head aches, constipation, being unfocused, feeling lethargic, tired, moody, stressed, anxious, worries…

These are all signs that something isn’t right under your skin!

Being KIND to your soul is to remind yourself that you are a spiritual being having a human experience and humans are complex.

I believe that we can accomplish anything if we are willing to give it time. I dreamt about jumping out of bed thin, pain free, feeling refreshed and energized but that wasn’t going to happen, EVER! There is no quick fix. Small daily actions is what creates big lasting results.

I believe that we need we put away the scale, stop the yo-yo dieting, the counting of calories and doing exercises we dislike. Our bodies know what they want. By changing our mindset and focusing on figuring out what serves us, what brings us joy and pleasure is a much better way to live and ultimately to bloom.

This is what I value, if you do too, let’s Bloom together

A little bit about Anita Schmitt

Mind/Body Coach.  Writer.  Gut enthusiast. Lover of anything non toxic. World explorer. Fondness for the word “bubbles” (try saying it when you’re mad). Wife, daughter, sister, friend

I get so upset when I hear that people are experiencing bloating, gas, pain and other body issues and say; “that’s just the way it is” or “It’s part of aging”.  For years, that was me! To celebrate my 50th birthday I went to a yoga retreat in Mexico and that week my belly issues were exposed!  After eating clean and healthy plus doing yoga twice a day for a week I noticed that I felt lighter and less bloated..  Then I went home and after a few days, I was back to the old gut issues. I also noticed I wasn’t as energized, vibrant or focused as I was in Mexico. Bring back my beach body back! 😝

I wanted to know why, so got educated.

I studied Nutrition with the Food Matters Institute and the Mind/Body connection to food with the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.  Both programs educated me on what was going on physically under my skin and what steps were needed to truly heal it.  What surprised me the most in my training was how my emotions, mindset, attitude and beliefs were also impacting my physical health.

The best part was I now knew how to be my healthiest self, no excuses.

Knowing how creates a journey, one I was more than willing to go on and honestly, always will be. I love feeling great and having the tools to refocus and reset when needed. After years of enjoying life without the digestion issues I had a “gut feeling” that I wanted to help others with their health concerns too, so I started a whole new career.  I love helping people figure out what’s going on under their skin and together we take the baby steps toward helping them thrive in body and soul.  I’ve helped people get off medication, lose weight, have more energy, balance blood sugars and my favourite, gain confidence.

If I can get rid of my bloat and find my bloom, YOU can too.

“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.”

— Jim Rohn

I focused on truly listening to my gut and realized that my issues were daily and they were physical and emotional.  So I took the time to know what feeling great felt like by following a simple 28 day clean eating program and journaling. I learned how to relax and enjoy food. I learned how my emotions and state of being affected my entire body. I learned that I’m worth taking care of. Through the healing process, I fell in love with me. When my gut feels great, my whole body, my mind and my soul feels great too. I want to experience that gut feeling every day.

I believe our bodies and souls are one. With the right food, the right daily habits and emotional support we can thrive in both.  We shouldn’t live with bloating, pain or stress. This is your body telling you that something is wrong, that it needs to be addressed and fixed it. By doing so will save you further issues in the future.

I believe that we are spiritual beings having a human experience and that we get to decide what that human experience is. We need to keep our body healthy and thriving so we can be present, listen to our gut and follow our instincts. That is when the quality of life truly BLOOMS.
